Return of Horse
Sale to 2008 Expo Promises Great Opportunity for Buyers and
Sellers
Due to popular
demand, a sale of quality Paint and Quarter Horses is returning to
the Western States Horse Expo in Sacramento, California.
The Expo will celebrate its tenth anniversary June 6-8, 2008
and in addition to the sale promises to present new and exciting
demonstrations, education, entertainment and shopping experiences
for its dedicated attendees.
Dave Hammond
Auctions brings innovative energy to the Expo’s horse sale,
scheduled for Sunday, June 8 at 11:00 a.m. “We’re focusing on
presenting nice riding horses at this sale—horses that will range
from being started with the basics to horses that are truly
developed under saddle, so there will be something for everyone,
from beginners to experts,” says Dave Hammond. “These sale horses
will include trail horses, cow horses, pleasure riding horses,
rope horses and ranch horses. We’ll also have a selection of
yearlings and broodmares.
“In order to let
buyers know what they’re getting,” continues Hammond, “there will
be a thorough preview on Saturday in a special Expo arena set up
just for this. Each horse in the sale will be shown loading into a
stock trailer, its feet picked up, and then saddled and tacked
up—those important tests that demonstrate that the horse has some
foundation work. Of course these horses will also be shown under
saddle, too. The combination of all these criteria will let
potential buyers evaluate what they’re buying. There are too many
stories in the horse world about buying a horse at a sale and then
not being able to load it into a trailer to take it home; the
Saturday preview will prevent that kind of thing. This
presentation of the horses will be great for everyone, including
sellers, and will give buyers some peace of mind.”
